COWBOYS MISSED OPPORTUNITIES

The Dallas Cowboys did not cover 3 points in the 33-31 home opening loss against the New York Giants. There where a few missed opportunities, one that running back Marion Barber would have scored on (had nobody left to beat), going down before the tackle was made holding his left leg. Barber had a touchdown and rushed for 124 yards with no fumbles. Romo completed 13 of 29 attempts, one touchdown and three inteceptions. Romo was held to 127 yards.

The Minisota Vikings covered the 9.5 points in their 27-13 Victory over the Detroit Lions. Bret Favre completed 24 of 28 attempts, sacked three times and threw no interceptions. "All Day" Adrian Peterson was held to only 15 rushing yards and 95 total yards with a touch down and one fumble. The record setting Vikings take a 1 game lead in the NFC Central over Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears.Next week the Vikings take on San Fancisco 49ers in their season home opener.
